November 6, 2011 JSS and PS Charities support 3rd Annual Colonel John Ripley Memorial Race
On November 6, JSS along with PS Charities helped sponsor the 3rd Annual Colonel John Ripley Memorial Race in Annapolis, MD. The race welcomed runners and walkers for a 5K route which kicked off at 9am at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on a brisk Sunday morning. This event raises money for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, an NPO that provides financial support for injured and critically ill members of the United States Armed Forces and their families.This year's event exceeded lasts years totals, raising $87,000 from sponsorships and registration fees.

October 16, 2011 JSS, Silver Sponsor of 2nd Annual JCCNV Fall Into Fitness 5K Run/Walk
JSS was a Silver Sponsor of the 2nd Annual JCCNV Fall Into Fitness 5K Run/Walk, which took place at Burke Lake Park in Burke, VA. The race benefits JCCNV Sports & Fitness Department, which provides programs to all ages and ethnicities. The 5K route included scenic stretches and beautiful views of the lake on both trails and pavement. Thanks to JSS' sponsorship, the race was officially timed through chronotrack timing.
October 8, 2011 PS Charities Hosts Successful Caribbean Casino Night and Silent Auction
JSS attended and sponsored PS Charities Annual Caribbean Casino Night and Silent Auction on Saturday, October 8th. The night began at 7pm at The Carlyle Club in Alexandria, VA which benefitted the GWU Breast Care Center Patient Assistance Fund. Throughout the night, guests bid on items from the Silent Auction and played one of the many sponsored gaming tables; Black Jack, Craps, or Texas Hold Em' to name a few. This year's proceeds came to an outstanding $70,000 and will be given directly to the families at the GWU Breast Care Center Patients Assistance Funds.

September 26, 2011 Third Annual NC Charity Golf Tournament
JSS, Inc. is proud to be a PS Charities corporate sponsor and have participated in the 3rd Annual NC Charity Golf Tournament on September 23rd. The event raised $50,000 with all proceeds benefitting the UNC Lineberger Cancer Treatment Center in Chapel Hill, NC. 100% of the proceeds benefit families being treated for Leukemia/Lymphoma at the center. The donation is made in memory of Sean Williams, the son of Colonel Mike and Debbie Williams, who lost his courageous 13-month battle with leukemia on February 15, 2007.

The ITSD meets and/or exceeds the customer’s value proposition for computer and telecommunications services in terms of quality, timeliness, and responsiveness through cost-effective, schedule-compliant, reliable, and secure leveraging of IT technologies for the FBI. ITSD resides under the the Information and Technology Branch (ITB) which represents the information technology (IT) life cycle and management of knowledge assets for the FBI.
June 29, 2011 The HP IAPS Teams Captures the Latest FBI ISSR Task Order
JSS under the HP IAPS team secured a new Task Order supporting the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Information Systems Security Representative (ISSR) services support.
Under this new Task Order, JSS is will provide technical and engineering services in delivering information assurance of confidentiality, integrity, availability, and preservation of the FBI’s information and information systems worldwide through security certification. Technical and engineering services comprise of comprehensive evaluations of information system technical and non-technical security features and other safeguards made as part of and in support of the accreditation process, and to establish the extent to which a particular design and implementation meet a specified security requirement set. JSS is looking forward to supporting the Continuous Monitoring mission of the FBI.

JSS, Inc. a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) with offices in the Washington, DC area has launched their new website www.jss.com.
Today JSS unveiled a new and focused website that offers our customers access to better organized and far more detailed information about JSS and our services. The team at Cstraight Media had worked on our first website six years ago, so it made sense for us to go back to them to work on the re-design.
JSS will be utilizing our new url and website to increase awareness of JSS and stay connected through social media outlets.
May 19, 2011 HP Team Captures SAT Task Order at FBI
JSS under the HP IAPS team secured a new Task Order supporting the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Security Assessment Team (SAT).
Under this new Task Order, JSS is expected to suggest improvements and work with Government personnel to document changes to SAT SOPs following the change management process. JS will provide information system security testing for initial accreditation, re-accreditation, continuous monitoring and remedial actions required to comply with accreditation. Techniques used will include Gold Disk scan, System Readiness Review (SRR), penetration testing, network vulnerability scans, source code scan, web application scan, or a manual check of each of the security controls using the security guides.
JSS is looking forward to supporting the Cyber Security mission of the FBI.

JSS happily announces our newest employee, Jana Meltzer who joins us as the new Director of Administration.
Jana has thirteen years of experience in increasingly responsible roles within the HR/Administration arena at several companies. In her most recent position, Jana was the Talent Manager for Fusion PPT.
As Director of Administration, Jana is responsible for your overall experience here at JSS. She will be located at our HQ in Alexandria, VA. Jana will report to Jeremy James, PMP specifically and will lead our efforts in these areas:
- Maintaining corporate calendar, tracking personnel whereabouts, and organize corporate events.
- Ensuring effective, branded marketing communications including the company website, print communication, and advertising.
- Manages hard copy time account system.

JSSs' own Christina Raftery, CISSP is scheduled to present "Being Proactive and Less Reactive in Security Operations and Cyber Attack Response" in the Protecting from Cyberterrorism and Cybercrime session track at GovSec, March 29-31, 2011.
Ms. Raftery joined JSS in November of 2010 to lead our information security efforts at the FBI Los Angeles Field Office. Prior to joining JSS, Ms. Raftery was the Information Security Manager for the USAF Enterprise Logistics Directorate and the Information Systems Security Manager, FEMA Security Operations Center (SOC).

ASM Research chooses JSS to partner on DSAIDS contract
JSS has been awarded a contract to support ASM Research on the Defense Human Resources Activity (DHRA) Defense Sexual Assault Incident Database (DSAIDS) program.
DSAID captures and maintains victim case management data, incident data, subject demographic data, subject disposition data, and SAPR program administration data. The data maintained in the system will be received, when appropriate, from Service systems that capture sexual assault data to include Military Criminal Investigative Organizations’ (MCIO) and Offices of the Judge Advocate General (OTJAG) systems. In addition, when necessary, Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARC) will contribute both restricted and unrestricted data.
JSS will provide analyst support including but not limited to: Determining functional/cross functional requirements, requirements analysis, requirements documentation, user design input, and regression testing.

The SeaPort-e MAC provides support for Navy systems that range from weaponssystems to fleet readiness and homeland security to logistics.
This contract vehicle will handle the electronic procurement process for the four Navy SYSCOMS (NAVAIR, NAVSEA, NAVSUP and SPAWAR). SeaPort-e has been made the vehicle of choice for future Engineering, Financial and Program Management contractor support services. The SeaPort-e portal provides a standardized means of issuing competitive solicitations amongst a large & diverse community of approved contractors, as well as a platform for awarding & managing performance-based task orders.

PS Charities and its title sponsor, ProSol, held its annual charity golf tournament, the Major Douglas A. Zembiec Memorial Golf Tournament. The event raised $100,000 with proceeds benefitting Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), which provides ongoing emotional help, hope, and healing to all who have lost a loved one in military service to our country.
In addition to the golf tournament, PS Charities raffled off a 2010 Harley Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle.
At the conclusion, various awards were presented and the motorcycle drawing was held. Bonnie Carroll, Chief Executive Officer of TAPS, was presented with the final $100,000 donation to TAP

TAC has been a leader as a prime contractor in the FBI and Intelligence communities.

JSS under the The Analysis Corporation (TAC) secured a new contract supporting the Terrorist Screening Operations Unit (TSOU) Visa Review Operations (VRO), which is under the Counter Terrorism Division of the FBI. JSS will be responsible for security oversight including, development of VRO Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation, vulnerability assessments, and assisting in the development of a secure VRO system in support of TSOU.

The Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) has selected James Secure Solutions, Inc. to provide Network Certification and Accreditation Services.
The USAC is an independent, not-for-profit corporation designated as the administrator of the federal Universal Service Fund by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). USAC administers Universal Service Fund (USF) programs for high cost companies serving rural areas, low-income consumers, rural health care providers, and schools and libraries. The Universal Service Fund helps provide communities across the country with affordable telecommunications services.
Under this contract, James Secure Solutions, Inc. will be performing a vertical and horizontal review of the School and Libraries (SL) and Rural Healthcare (RHC) Major Applications.

On November 5, 2008, James Secure Solutions Inc. (JSS) was awarded GSA Contract GS-35F-0058V for Special Item Number 132-51 IT Professional Services.
This allows for Federal Agencies to utilize the flexibility and ease of GSA IT70 to procure services directly from JSS. Under the GSA IT70 contract vehicle, JSS will be able to provide security services, solution engineering, and IT management support services. JSS has demonstrated expertise in these areas with clients such as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

In this capacity, James Secure Solutions will be providing Watch Officer support services and related tasks that are aligned with the Mission of the TSA Transportation Security Operations Center (TSOC).
The TSOC serves as the 24/7 operations center (command center) for transportation security-related operations, incidents, or crises for TSA, interfacing directly with the DHS Homeland Security Operations Center for good information-flow with DHS.

James Secure Solutions, Inc. with Professional Solutions as the Prime will begin supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA), National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), and other offices within NESDIS that may require similar services.
The primary goal of this BPA is to improve program efficiency and effectiveness by providing prompt, reliable and high quality information IT security, acquisition and systems engineering solutions.
The NESDIS OCIO is responsible for ensuring that IT security program objectives are achieved. Some of these objectives include 1) understanding and implementing all federal government computer security policies and requirements, 2) developing and implementing IT security requirements, 3) certifying and accrediting existing, new and upgraded information systems, 4) developing, verifying and validating that business contingency plans exist for all NESDIS information systems regardless of location and 5) ensuring that computer security is integrated in the corporate enterprise architecture plan and included in the information system's lifecycle.

The EAGLE Program establishes a suite of indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contracts for IT support services that enables DHS business and program units to accomplish their mission objectives. These multiple award contracts, collectively referred to as EAGLE, are designed to offer a broad range of services, solutions and contract types to fulfill the majority of component and departmental IT services needs.

James Secure Solutions, Inc. through Information Technology Coalition Inc. will begin supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Information Sharing and Collaboration (IS&C) on August 6, 2007.
In this capacity, James Secure Solutions will be providing management support services and related tasks that are aligned with the Mission of the DHS IS&C.
The IS&C mission is to lead and support the Department and its components, including federal, state, local, territorial, and the private sector in securing the homeland, defending our citizenry, and protecting our critical infrastructure. Together, ITC and James Secure Solutions will support the Department of Homeland Security requirement for professional information sharing and collaboration support services for the Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A), Information Sharing and Collaboration Branch (IS&C).

The Weekend to End Breast Cancer benefiting the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation is your chance to discover what it means to be a hero. During one amazing weekend, June 1-3, 2007, thousands of women and men will join forces in Ottawa to walk 60 kilometres and make a real difference in the fight to end breast cancer. The Proceeds benefit the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, funding important breast cancer research, education, services and care.
This is the second annual Weekend to End Breast Cancer walk in Ottawa, a multi-day event that has raised over $5 million to date. The third annual Weekend to End Breast Cancer benefiting the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation is already planned for June 6-8, 2008.

It was a party with a purpose. On February 24, Hope Rising held its fourth annual "Celebrate Hope" event at the Hotel Monaco in downtown Washington D.C. to benefit House of Ruth. This year's event exceeded all expectations and resulted in a $75,000 donation to House of Ruth.
